Analysis of Digipaks: Bombay Bicycle Club

SO LONG, SEE YOU TOMORROW - BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB

This Digipak has a very similar style throughout. It uses shapes and colours to intrigue and grab the audience. The theme of circles and cycles is evident and gives the group a very recognisable trait. The background of this Digipak is a darker colour, which works to pull the audience's eyes towards the bright yellows and blues in the middle.

The CD itself also linked to the front cover, which helps to emphasise the "image" the group have given themselves with this Digipak. It also means that when the CD is out of the Digipak, it is easy for the audience to recognise the Artist behind it.

The use of colour and brightness in this Digipak could be a reflection of the Artist's music: more upbeat. enlightening music that matches the bright and outstanding colours of the Digipak. Furthermore, the fact that the Artist themselves do not feature anywhere on the Digipak could suggest that they are not famous due to their image and value music over themselves as making them famous.

The Digipak keeps to block colours throughout, which means the audience are constantly faced with bright colours and pictures to keep them entertained. The Digipak itself is pretty, which could be part of the reason the audience may choose to consume it.

The Digipak has an identically created insert as well, following the theme of cycles and colour. It is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is seemingly simple to understand. The ideas of cycles presented could be in relation to the album and the topics it focuses on, which creates a more personal touch to the Digipak and its music.
