Filming Day 3
We used this day of filming to produce all the "menacing" character shots, using a bright spotlight to present an idea of being fake. We felt the harsh light would contrast the softer light seen on the more innocent character, and helped to outline the change in makeup and hair styling. It also complimented the character's dress and jewellery. We managed to film everything, however we began to feel conscious of the changes in lighting from when we started to when we finished. It is evident that there is a big time difference, however we are hopeful that this will be beneficial to our music video, and will show a more effective and true difference between the characters. The dark benefited the use of high-key lighting and helped create an image of a true performance.
We filmed using both the interior and exterior of the house, in order to move away from the primarily interior shots used beforehand.
Overall, we are happy with the shoot and the way it turned out. We hope that the shots will come out the way we expected, and we managed to film a number of filler shots that may be useful to us during the editing process.
