Differing from our storyboard

In order to clear any worries regarding our storyboard and linking them to the final cut of our music video, we decided to write a detailed post about our choices and why we have chosen them.

We have, on the whole, conformed to the choices we made when creating our storyboard. We filmed shots according to the times and initial images decided previously, and have found most of these to work as we expected them to. However, we decided to film a number of filler shots which we could use if there were any issues with our planned shots.

Since we were filming in a house that was due to be worked on, we had to film over three days, and wanted to get the most shots we possibly could. Therefore we worked on making sure we had spare footage that meant we hopefully wouldn't have to re-film anything. In the editing stage we began to notice how much more effective our filler shots would be, as we were able to make the most of what was around us as we filmed. We found there were new angles and positions we could try, as well as ways to enhance our original ideas.
