Choosing an Artist (2)

In conclusion, we decided that Halsey would be the most interesting and effective artist to work with, as, when analysing the lyrics to a number of her songs, she creates initial concepts and stories through her music. This means that we can use a visual to bring these concepts to life; all the while keeping to her specific niche and her previous videos.

Halsey already has a number of videos, which we can use for reference and also as inspiration for our choices of shots, miss-en-scene and editing. These videos include:

- Colors

- Ghost

- Castle

- New Americana

Therefore, we will focus on one of her songs that does not already have a music video, as a way to avoid plagiarism and be more original in our video.
