An Introduction to Narrative

A Narrative video is infamous for telling a story or providing an experience similar to that of a film or TV show. They usually have a moral that may or may not link to that of the lyrics. Since we decided to create a music video with a Narrative style, we analysed some music videos that could potentially give us some inspiration or could be linked to our final outcome. This helped to give us an initial idea regarding the shot style and editing techniques to effectively create a Narrative Video. We felt it was important to keep to the style of other videos in order to attract a similar style audience, however we also felt that it was important to add personality and a unique style to our piece, in order to be different from others. Therefore we will begin to create an idea of what we want to do with our music video and how we can attract an audience.
