Website Analysis: BTS

As soon as you enter the website, you are met with a dark screen including dates of the artist's tour. This is the first thing you see, which means the artist are able to effectively promote their event and allow the largest amount of people to notice this. The fact that monochrome tones are used means the page is very much factual and informative instead of having the purpose to entertain and be aesthetically pleasing. Had it been more creative, the audience may have been distracted from the information of the tour and how to book tickets.

This page includes information about each member of the group, including their name, birthday and height. This allows for the audience to effectively understand each member and allows the audience to feel more connected to the artist.

The overall style of the pages matches the artist's new album, allowing them to effectively promote their album at the same time as scrolling through their pages.

There is also a page which shows the album tracks and design completely, in order to allow the audience to understand this connection between the website and the new album.

This page includes the artist's albums, in order of release. They also include a track list and where the audience will be able to listen to it. This is important to connecting with the audience, as well as their music, as it means the audience can effectively listen to the artist through their website.

This aspect of the website allows for the audience to access particular photos of the artist, from their most recent shoots. This creates a more personal element to the artist, allowing for their audience to understand who they really are and what they look like.

This page is effective in creating a relationship between the artist themselves and their music. A number of different music videos are displayed on this page in order to allow the audience to explore their music and videos in more depth. This is important in the representation of an artist; having only one or no music videos within their website might mean the audience lose interest or don't bother to look the artist up anywhere else. Through this, BTS are effectively marketing their music as well as gaining initial support and interest.

The group's website has their logo and links at the bottom of each page, allowing the audience to be reminded frequently of where to find them. It can be said that this may encourage the audience to press on the links, therefore allowing the artist to gain more support. Furthermore, the inclusion of these allows the audience and the artist to establish a bigger connection: with 5 different elements, the audience are given a bigger insight into the artist's lives both personally and professionally.

The inclusion of a live Twitter feed means the audience are able to access social content from the site. As well as connecting the artist and the audience, this element also encourages the audience to follow the artist, and gives them an insight into what to expect from the artist. This could also represent the personal lives of the artist - showing their selfies and messages they leave on their social media may attract an audience since it is not done professionally, to promote or for profit.
