Artist Focus: Birdy
Birdy is a British singer and songwriter. Her music is under the genres of "folk," "indie folk," "indie pop," and "indie rock".
Her debut single was a cover of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love", which was the roots to her success and charted across Europe, with the single going platinum six times in Australia. She released her first album, self-titled, on November 7th 2011. This was just as successful - reaching number one in Australia, Belgium and the Netherlands. She was nominated for a Brit award in 2014 for Best British Solo Female Artist after the release of her second album "Fire Within", in 2013. On 25th March 2016, Birdy released her third album, "Beautiful Lies."
